It all started with a Tennessee State Park! In July 2015 I applied for a seasonal office position with Rock Island State Park and got it. I was so thrilled the day I received the call and I didn't know then how much this job would change my life. I have a good story about the day a cute seasonal maintenance worker came into the office with an arm full of paper towels and introduced himself but I don't know how much I am able to write here. So, I'll skip to the best part.

I was a divorced single mother of two wonderful kiddos and at the time I was in no way thinking about a relationship. That changed very quickly! One afternoon the park had a "River Cleanup Project" to help cleanup the Caney Fork River along the Sandbar. I volunteered and was paired with Jesse Bullock in a canoe (the cute maintenance worker I mentioned earlier).

I can't explain it but we just "clicked", I fell for him and I fell for him very hard. I suppose you can say we fell in love in a canoe and after that moment we were inseparable! Long sweet story short after 14 amazing months of dating, on September 9, 2016 Jesse got down on one knee and proposed (it was at another state park too). Of course I said yes!!

On December 31,2016 at 1:00pm we said" I DO" in front of Twin Falls at the park we first met and fell in love, Rock Island State Park. So see, It did all start with a Tennessee State Park.

Today we are a happy little family of four! On mine and Jesse's weekends together we travel visiting other parks both state and national.  We are on the road in our little sticker covered Nissan Cube with our park passports in the glove box just waiting to get stamped on our next adventure!

Our goal is to visit all of the 56 Tennessee State Parks and then one day all the National Parks as well. So, this is our blog documenting that journey!
